These are the best free tools and websites for improving your YouTube video ranking and boosting views.
You don’t have to pay for expensive services or software to create and run a successful YouTube channel or website. I’ve been ranking and cashing in on my videos and web projects for a decade using mostly free tools. These are some of the best places to start!
1. YouTube Video Analytics
The most important free tool for all YouTubers is the Analytics tab in your YouTube Creator Studio account. This tab will show you all the information and statistics on your videos and your audience.
As already mentioned, when buying YouTube views, it’s important to check the views’ quality. Whether you are using this method or checking your organic views and how your videos perform, you’ll get all the information on your viewers.
The viewers location, average watch time, device type, source of traffic (how your viewers found your video), and so much more.
2. YTRank – Free YouTube Rank Checker
Use YTRank to find out the current position of your video in YouTube search results for the targeted keywords. It’s a free service, and you can use it for as many videos and keywords as you want.
3. Ubersuggest – Free Keyword Research Tool
Keyword research should always be the first step before creating content – a website, blog post, or YouTube video. You want to make sure the subject and keywords related to it have enough monthly search queries to bring in traffic and views. Ubersuggest is a free service you can use to check on keywords but also the competition, what keywords they rank for and how much traffic they manage to get from it.
4. MozBar – Free SEO Toolbar
MozBar is a very popular and free SEO Google Chrome add-on toolbar. It allows you to see Domain Authority (DA), Page Authority (PA), and the number of backlinks for any domain and YouTube video. YouTube domain authority is obviously the highest (100), but the page authority (your video page) depends on the number of backlinks, views, and other signals.
Due to YouTube’s high DA, it is easier to rank a YouTube video than, for example, a new website with 0 DA that Google doesn’t trust.
5. Venngage – Free Infographic Maker
People prefer watching YouTube videos instead of reading a bunch of text on the same subject because it’s fun and more dynamic. Do you know what else is fun and gives an easy-to-understand overview of any topic? Infographics. They exploded 10 years ago as one of my favorite forms of presenting ideas and communicating with the audience.
Even if you don’t have a website to accompany your YouTube channel, you can still create an infographic covering the key points of your video/topic. Publish it watermarked with your channel information online, submit it to websites, directories, Pinterest, and Tumblr, and place the link in your video’s description.
You don’t need any graphic design experience to create cool-looking infographics for free using Venngage.
With the pre-made templates, you just change some words and colors and get an amazing-looking visual presentation that everyone will definitely think was made by a professional.
6. YouTube Audio Library – Free Music For Your Videos
You’ll find many free tools in your YouTube Creator Studio, and the Audio Library supplies free music and effects for your videos.
